I’m Dr. Misha, a holistic physiotherapist and yoga teacher, as well as an enthusiastic explorer of health, happiness and community, based in Atlanta and Virginia Beach. For many years, I have observed that our overworked society is experiencing an unprecedented amount of chronic stress and anxiety, and the need for holistic care has never been greater. It is my mission to use my specialized training and expertise to help heal and restore our natural state of health and wellness with my unique approach to physiotherapy and yoga.

I am excited to share the unique teaching style I learned from graduating from Torch Yoga Teacher Training – stretching not only the body, but also the mind. I weave my experience with Power Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, Ayurveda and Rehabilitative Physical Therapy into my practice and classes.

A Holistic Approach to Treatment

It is possible to live pain-free in a new, optimal state of health, and it can be achieved with a holistic approach to physiotherapy and yoga therapeutic exercises. Just imagine how different you would feel with a balanced, clear, and calm mind. How would it feel to wake up relaxed, rejuvenated, with less pain, less stiffness? Picture yourself with a stronger body and mind and increased flexibility.

As a holistic wellness practitioner with years of professional experience offering physiotherapy services, I treat the whole person, not just symptoms, with a focus on movement and breath-work. I offer a unique combination of therapeutic treatments including:

  • Yoga therapy that encourages the integration of mind, body and spirit.
  • Physiotherapy using interventions like cupping, dry needling, manual therapy, myofascial release and much more.

Retreats

It is essential that from time to time, we take a step back and look at life in a whole new way. When we reconnect with nature, we somehow find ourselves. You too can step away and reclaim your health… the way you were meant to! As a retreat leader, I can help you plan and lead anything from a mountain yoga retreat to a beach getaway or an international yoga retreat almost anywhere in the world. Perhaps you have wanted to adopt a regular yoga and meditation practice for some time…my yoga retreats are the perfect opportunity to kick-start the habit. Join us for adventure, community and a daily yoga routine and meditation practice you can take home with you.

My Background

I have always been fascinated by the human body and how movement plays such a significant role in our lives. After obtaining my Bachelors in Exercise Science, I continued my study by completing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the Medical College of Georgia.

Today, I divide my time between Cumming, Georgia (just outside of Atlanta) and Virginia Beach with my husband, family and beloved pup Riya. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life, like hiking, paddle boarding, working out, and spending time outdoors with my family and friends.

In addition to being a registered yoga teacher and Doctor of Physical Therapy, I thrive on introducing people to new places and adventures with our transformational retreats. No matter where you are in your health journey, it would be my pleasure to “meet you where you’re at” so that you can experience enhanced movement and wellbeing. Join me on a journey of discovery.
